Sekali, "The Sister City"
Chapter 28
As Sekali packed up their belongings, Mabuhi fished some eggs out of her pack. Soon the smell of breakfast floated on the wind, making Sekali's stomach growl. He walked over to the two yet sleeping.
"Be up,” he said firmly, “We depart before the dawn dispels the darkness. Be up!"
Finyat and Uther were not pleased to be up and traveling so early. Ignoring Sekali, they both grimaced and covered their ears.
Mabuhi called to them reluctantly, as if she was making an effort to be civil. "The eggs will be wasted on the ravens and vultures, lest you rise from the dead and come to eat."
Finyat jumped up immediately, the dwarf sluggishly following after, grumbling about wasted sleep being worse than wasted food. After a hearty breakfast, the four set out across the lush grasslands before the sun began its daily tradition of chasing the night into hiding.
