Talisman: Avoidance
This is one of the most valuable treasure items to have in a crisis, of is the holder of this item speaks or thinks the commands words "Spare me talisman" (this can be thought or spoken), he or she will avoid any situation once . . . even death.
If the holder of this Avoidance Talisman is slain, he or she may roll initiative with the G.M. (no bonus; just a straight initiative roll between the player and the G.M.). If the player wins, death will be avoided.
If the holder of this talisman has received a mortal wound, and uses the talisman, he or she will have to live with the wound until treatment can be gotten. This can create quite a problem in some situations (as a player may find out). Still, death will be avoided.
Avoidance-Roll - : When the Avoidance Talisman is first claimed, the
one to claim it must make a successful avoidance--roll
vs. "Faith" in order for the Talisman to accept and
offer its protection. If the avoidance-roll is failed, it
can be attempted again in 1 moon (30 days), provided
the holder treats the talisman with respect, keeping it
clean, polished and safe.
Effect time ------ : Instant.
History ----------- : It is suspected, this is a being of power, possibly a
former Figment who has succeeded the test and become
something of his or her own choosing. Others are
skeptical about this, and argue that it is an item created
by powerful enchanters for the soul purpose of escaping
any undesirable situation one time. The truth in either
of these histories has, as of yet, never been proven.
Uses -------------- : 1 (the talisman will vanish once used).
