Flute: Dancing     

When this flute is played by a Bard, as long as the music continues, it will cause all within the "Area of Effect", who fail the "Avoidance-Roll, to dance, thus distracting them and enforcing the following penalties:

 

1. -5 Defense

2. -5 Offense

3. -1 Movement.

4. 10% chance of ability and spell failure (unless it involves dancing).

 

Only those who have a Hearing of 13+ can be effected.

Only Animal, Enchanted, Fiend, and Monster class types can be effected by the power of this flute.

 

Area of Effect ---- : Hearing level:
                                 6-9:    Creatures must being within 1 space (5') to be effected.
                                10-14: Creatures must being within 2 spaces (10') to be effected.
                                15-20: Creatures must being within 3 spaces (15') to be effected.
                                21-28: Creatures must being within 4 spaces (20') to be effected.
                                29-45: Creatures must being within 5 spaces (25') to be effected.
                                  46+:  Creatures must being within 6 spaces (30') to be effected.

 

                                Note: All creatures must clearly hear the music of the flute.

 

Avoidance-Roll -- : Yes: Pit "Mental-Strength vs. Mental-Strength"

                                (single roll chance). The player of the flute will

                                gain a bonus of +5.

 

Duration ----------- : As long as the music plays.

Effect Time ------- : 1 turn (5 seconds). On the beginning of the 2nd turn,

                                all must make the required "Avoidance-Roll", or be

                                begin dancing for the "Duration".

 

Usable ------------- : Bard only (10 Ability-Points to play this flute).

Value --------------- : 20 Electrum.
