Eye: Living     

Place the bottom of the Living Eye to the top of any staff, whether it be magical or not, and it will fuze and bond with that staff becoming one piece. When this item bonds with a staff, the staff will become enchanted (roll for a random Rank in the Enchanted Weapons section).

 

The Living Eye is alive and an entity of its own (it is sentient). It is also a spellcaster. Due to the complexity of this item - this living entity - roll for a random spellcaster, but also assign it a level (Game Master's discretion). The Living Eye Staff will have 1-D6 +2 spell-points and ability-points per level (a character can use these points, and they will regenerate as normal (3 per hour).

 

Game Master: The level will be strictly up to you. The Living Eye can be just starting its journey, or it can be ancient (you decide). Be careful, for the Living Eye can unbalance a character, and can easily overwhelm him or her.

 

The Living eye will have a random Align, and will have a list of characteristics (roll them up as you would a newly created character (+1 per level of the staff to place into any characteristics you wish).

 

The wielder must be wary, for when this item is used, it can drain the wielder of energy, spell-points, damage-points, and other aspects of his or her soul. This will feed and make the staff permanently stronger. The draining effects, whether permanent or not, are painless, and are strictly up to the Game Master.

 

There is risk in using the power of a Living Eye. When it is used, the wielder must pit his or her Mental-Strength vs. the Living Eye Staff's Mental-Strength (race to 3). If the Wielder wins, he or she will not be effected by the feeding power of this item. However, if the wielder loses, the Living Eye Staff will feed upon the wielder, becoming permanently stronger. The feeding of this staff is minor. It does not devour it's wielder, but will eventually.
