Description:

Annihilation Strike?: Yes. Sudden Death Strike?: Yes.

The Lich was once a living person. Through dark magics the Lich has lengthened its life span to an undying status, yet at a terrible price. For the Lich's body is only half preserved by the dark powers that bind it to the living world, leaving it in a state of perpetual decay. Such is the trade for becoming an undying soul.

Dislikes ----- : Mankind.

Disposition - : This Undead is calculating in its brooding. It ever seeks to be in the outside world, yet it rejected, due to its dark presence. Thus, the Lich is hateful, seeking the destruction of what it once was -- the living. See: "Life-span".

Fears -------- : The destruction of its Phylactory, it's binding source of unending years. See: "Note".

Habitat ------ : Tombs, crypts and labyrinths within the more dangerous regions.

Immunities - : Disease, Pain, Poison (excluding toxin), Shock, Sickness, Sleep, Stun, Unconsciousness. See: "Note".

Life-span --- : Undying. This undead's existence never fades, but it can be made vulnerable to permanent death by destroying its Phylactory. For once a Lich's Phylactory is destroyed, The Lich is permanently vulnerable, just as most other undead. See: "Note".

Likes -------- : Power. The Lich is enthralled by the caculated plottings to sew the seeds of chaos and disunity among the living.

Needs ------- : To keep safe its Phylactory. See: "Note".

Note --------- : Pylactory: To seal one's self into the status of Lich, one must choose an object to seal half of his or her living soul into. By doing this, the Lich will become undying. If slain in battle, the Lich will rise again on the night of a new moon, fully restored to power.

No experience-points are reward for slaying a Lich if the Pylactory is not destroyed as well. When this undead is brought down to 0 damage-points, and experience-points are not granted by the Game Master, the players will know they have just temporarily defeated a Lich. This is bad news, for the Lich will remember everything, and will be drawn to bring down destruction on those who dared defy it. See: Soul Compass in "Spcial Abilities".

seek to find and destroy them, their kindred, their homes and all who have a connection with you.

Special Abilities:

Ultra-vision: As the Psychic's Spell.

Soul Compass: The Lich will have a 20% chance per 24 hours of knowing the general direction it should travel in order to find those who defeated it without first destroying its Phylactory. Whether it chooses to follow will be to the descrection of discretion of the Game Master. Note: If the Lich chooses not to pursue, Soul Compass will no longer be in effect.

Special Defenses:

Magic-Resistance ---- : 50%

Mental-Resistance --- : 50%

Spiritual-Resistance - : 50%

Special Offenses:

Dread Visage: All living creatures in the presence of a Lich in its wrath (within 6 spaces) must make a successful avoidance-roll vs. "Fear" every turn or suffer from one of the following conditions, some of which are supernatural, and change from moment to moment:
