This creature aids one another in striking the same area to take down prey more easily.

Disposition - : By nature, the Shaktur are hunters, serving the Shaktur Queen. Their entire existence is the protect The Hive and their Queen.

Immunities - : Beguile, Charm, Enslavement abilities, powers and spells have no effect on this creature as long as the Shaktur Queen is alive.

Note --------- : This creature is an animal and it is driven purely by instinct. These creatures live in a hive that will house between 1,000-30,000. These creature are very territorial and will not venture more than 50 leagues from The Hive.
The Shaktur are always in search of ore, and if they sense it, they are driven to acquire it.
The hive itself is made from many ore types, ranging from copper and electrum, to black-gold and Krakken-steel (discretion of the Game Master). All Shaktur have an ability to mold minerals and ore by first instantly softening it with their saliva (this saliva also softens rock, bone, leather, and all other substances (even gem and crystal). If approached and gifted with minerals and ores, The Queen will judge the one who offers. Most always, she will accept the offering, befriending the giver.
The Hive's Queen is mentally linked to all her children. If she feels The Hive is threatened, all will attack as one in the attempt to overpower their enemy quickly. Like the ant, they have no fear of death, and are loyal to their Queen, doing her bidding without hesitation or reservation to the death.
If the Shaktur Queen's children are losing a battle, she will either call for a full retreat (which she will lead), or join the fight (Game Master's choice).
Special Abilities:
Armor Penetration: Armor "Damage-Reduction" will not help the wearer from the damaging bites of this creature due to the saliva, which will instantly soften ore, metal, leather and all other substances with (See: "Note").
The chance to turn a sharp attack will only aid the wearer of armor if it can be successfully rolled 3 times in a row. This applies to magical and enchanted armoring as well. This can only be rolled for once. After that, the armor will be softened. Non-magical armoring will be destroyed, but magical and enchanted armor will endure and heal as normal as long as the armor itself was not brought down to 0 damage-points. Surviving armors will take 1-D6 days to harden once again. This makes the Shaktur highly dangerous.
Ore and Mineral Detection: Shaktur can sense ore and minerals up to 15' into the ground (a successful avoidance-roll vs. Awareness (Taste) will indicate located minerals). The amount of ore and minerals The Hive is built with will be up to the Game Master.
Special Defenses:
Flight-Evasion: This creature will have a 25% chance of automatically evading a strike against
it while in flight, unless an area of effect attack is greater than the flight movement of the Shaktur.
Note:
Flight-Evasion does not work while Shaktur are grounded.
