Skin texture: Smooth, yet if you run your hand along this creature's body, you will feel the gel and its skeletal structure within its transparent skin. Weight: 60 lbs.

 

This creature appears a small skeleton with a membrane of transparent skin. Within this skin is a
thick, clearish liquid.

Disposition - : The Spell Biter has an insatiable appetite for devouring spells and spell-points, whether housed in an object, or cast by a spell caster. It is the only source of healing for them. This creature does not bargain, nor does it have sympathy or mercy for anyone, or anything. It is simply is attracted to the energy of spell casters and items housing spells and spell-points.

 

Note: The Spell Biter will only go after an item if it is housed with a spell, which must be listed in the casters list of spells.

Special Offenses:

Spell-Strike: If struck in the flesh (wounded) a victim must make a successful "Intelligence Check" (Intelligence = % chance), or permanently lose 1 random spell, as well as spell-points equal (up to) the level of the Spell Biter. All spell-points drained will flow into the Spell Biter in the form of healing at x2 the spell-points drained.

 

If the attack is successfully parried or blocked, the victim must make a successful avoidance-roll vs. "Intelligence" (x2 Intelligence = % chance), or still lose 1 spell as if struck in the flesh, as well as spell-points (as stated above).

 

Example:

Level 12 Spell Biter will permanently drain 1 random spell and 1-12 spell-points.

Level 16 Spell Biter will permanently drain 1 random spell and 1-16 spell-points.
