Trade-Skills (Jeweler):

This skill will enable one to create bracelets, amulets, rings and many other items of value, fixing gems within the item created if you wish. Only one who has studied and passed the art of Jeweler can successfully craft a metal or mineral into a desired object, and possibly set a precious gem or stone into it.

Your Intelligence will be the % chance to successfully do the following:

 

Jewel Craft Techniques:

Forging: Creating a item of jewelry to either house gems within, or not. Example: Creating a mold for a ring and creating that ring, creating a braided chain-link necklace from freshly refined steel or mineral. Taking that gold or silver and creating strands to weave into links for a woven, liked, necklace or amulet, Etc.

 

Fashioning: Fixing gems and precious stones into a ring, necklace, earrings, Etc.

 

Gem Cutting: With special tools, cutting a gem to exact measurements (without ruining the gem).

 

Your skill will raise +1% for every 10 successes at Forging, Gem Cutting, or Fashioning, so keep a log of your % chance to succeed. It would look like this:

 

Forging -------- : 18%
Gem Cutting - : 23%
Fashioning ---- : 34%

Master Crafting:
Once you reach the "Maximum success chance" of 96%, whether it be Forging, Gem Cutting, or Fashioning, you can then blend another aspect into crafting in an attempt to "Master Craft" it.

 

Master Craft is a way to increase the value and magnificence of the finished product.

 

If you fail to Master Craft an item, it will be destroyed.

You will start out with a 25% chance to 1st Master Craft an item. For each item you Master Craft, your % chance at Master Crafting will increase by +1%

 

Once you reach a 96% chance to 1st Master Craft, you will have obtained full 1st Mastery.

You can then start over with a 25% chance to 2nd Master Craft an already 1st Master Crafted item.

 

Once you reach a 96% chance to 2nd Master Craft, you will have obtained full 2nd Mastery.

You can then start over with a 25% chance to 3rd Master Craft an already 2nd Master Crafted

item.

 

You can continue to increase your Mastery levels as high as you like (there is no limit to Master Crafting).

 

Remember, each time you successfully Master Craft the same item, its value and magnificence will increase.
