Trade-Skills (Blacksmith):
Modification-point cost: 8
The Blacksmith is one who creates an item from metal (i.e., armor, weapon, tool, a needed part for another items, such as a wagon, etc.).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your STRENGTH or INTELLIGENCE will be the % chance to successfully forge a steel object of specific design, or temper an existing steel alloy to its next level of strength (i.e., gage-steel to shank-steel, shank-steel to krakkin-steel, etc.).
With each piece you successfully forge, the % chance to forge another of the same (or nearly similar) design will increase by +1%.
If you fail to forge an item, all materials will be detroyed (unnusuable). This applies to Master Forging as well.
This also applies when tempering steel.
Example:
If you have a 30 Strength, you will have a 30% chance to craft, say, a long sword.
If you successfully craft the long sword, you will gain +1% when you next craft another long sword. The next time you attempt to craft a long sword, you will then have a 31% chance.
If you crafted another successfully, your skill will increase to 32% chance, and so on, up to the maximum success chance.
Maximum success chance: 98%
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MASTER FORGE
Once you reach the "Maximum success chance" (98%) to forge an item, you can then attempt a 1st Master Forge on the same item.
You will start out with a 25% chance to 1st Master Forge an item.
For each successful item you 1st Master Forge, the % chance to 1st Master Forge will increase by +1%.
Once you reach a 98% chance to 1st Master Forge, you will have obtained full 1st Mastery. You will then start over with a 25% chance to create a 2nd Master Forged item, yet only for an existing 1st Master Forged item.
For each successful item you 2nd Master Forge, the % chance to 2nd Master Forge will increase by +1%. You can then improve your blacksmithing skill to the next level, starting out (again) with a 25% success chance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can continue to create higher Master Forged items up to the top level in the game (discretion of the G.M.).
Remember to keep a list of seperate blacksmithing techniques forging when raising your skill as a blacksmith (all blacksmithing is NOT the same).
All maximum Master Forge success chances: 96%
