The Conjurer:
This is a dangerous path for any who travel it. The conjurer ever meditates upon the many life forms that encompass not only the Earthen Plane, but all Dimensions and Planes. They are deeply rooted into exploring all forms of life, using them in times of need. This is risky, as those creatures conjured detest being forced to serve. By means of arcane inscriptions, the Conjurer can force a creature to appear, then compel it to do his or her bidding.
The conjurer is usually a social outcast among people of normal societies, for they fear what they do, and what they do not understand.
The Conjurer is deeply interested in socializing with the myriad of creatures in all the dimensions and planes of Utaemia, including all races, relishing in the power he or she has in bringing/forcing life forms from their natural environments to serve (this is a matter of pride).
Creature Studies:It is highly important to spend your Modificaiton-Points to gain knowledge on creatures you are going to conjure, or suffer a penalty of -30 on all avoidance-rolls when attempting to control it and the situation during the encounter. This means not knowing the creature you conjure will be possible to succeed at, but difficult to control.
Concerning Conjuring a Creature:
- All creatures forced to appear before a Conjurer are brought forth against their will. This can, and usually does, create enmity and resentment. The Conjurer can give it a gift to appeasese it, but that will be a matter of role-play and up to the discretion of the Game Master.
- When a creature is conjured, it will always have one chance to break free of a binding power of the conjuration -- there is always that danger.
- When a creature is conjured, it will always have one chance to break free of a binding power of the conjuration -- there is always that danger.
If it fails to break free: It is trapped within the Circle of
Containment for the "Duration"
of the conjuring (when the
duration expires, it will then
return from whence it was called
forth).
If it succeeds to break free: The Conjurer has failed and
is open to attack. The worst
case scenario is not being
open to attack, but freeing
the creature from the Circle
of Containment. It can leave.
Conjurers can call forth highly dangerous creatures to serve them if they do it right.
