Avoidance-Roll: |
Pit Charisma vs. the Mental-Strength of each creature that observes the Bard's Dance (race to 4). The Bard will choose which creatures she wishes to effect by Bard's Dance.
Note: Once creatures see the bard performing Bard's Dance, they cannot - of themselves - pull their attention free from its mesmerizing effects unless they can successfully win the pitting of Charisma vs. Mental-Strength.

Casting Time: |
6 turns (30 seconds).
This dance must be performed without being physically interupted.
Adjusted time to perform Bard's Dance: Your Charisma (Appearance) ÷ 9 -3 = the number of turns LESS Bard's Dance can be performed (minimum of 1 turn (5 seconds).
Example: If you have a 43 Charisma, you will divide it by 9 = 4.777 (always round down). The result is 4.
Then subtract 3 from the 4 = 1 You can perform Bard's Dance 1 turn (5 seconds) faster. In this case, you can perform Bard's Dance in 5 turns (25 seconds) instead of the required 6 turns. |

| Duration: | As long as the bard continue to perform Bard's Dance, those who succumb to its power will remain mesmerized, unable to act.
Once a target is disturbed, distracted, wounded, etc., Bard's Dance will break. Bard's Dance must then be performed again to mesmerize it.
Any mesmerized creature, if attacked, will be under the ruling of a surprise attack. |

Any creature CLASS can be effected by this dance, but only if the Bard also follows a certain character class as follows:
Animated Creatures: Bard must know as least two Animationist abilities or spells.
An animated creature created by a player or NPC cannot be effected by Bard's Dance unless the Bard has some how gained the power to do so.
You will know if you can do this, so no further explanation will be given here.
Remember: The world of Utaemia holds many aspects of unique powers not listed in the character abilities.
During game-play, you can gain these unique, one-of-a-kind abilities as you explore and adventure. The Game Master can also give a player such an ability as he or she wishes.
Enchanted creatures: Bard must know as least two Enchanter abilities or spells.
Fiends: Bard must know as least two Trainer abilities.
Gaseous creatures: If the Bard has the ability to become gaseous by an ability, power, spell, or treasure item, this dance can effect even gaseous creatures.
Insects: Bard must know as least two Locust Magician abilities or spells.
Mind creatures: Bard must know as least two Psychic abilities or spells.
Monsters: Bard must know as least two Druid abilities or spells.
Druid (for giant class animals), and Trainer for all other types of Monsters.
Organic creatures: Bard must know as least two Druid abilities or spells.
Spirits: Bard must know as least two Spiritualist abilities or spells.
Undead: Bard must know as least two Necromancer abilities or spells.
Dead: Bard must know as least two Divinationist, or Necromancer abilities or spells.
Animal: Bard must know as least two Druid abilities or spells.
Example: To effect an Animated creature by this dance, the Bard must follow the path of the Animationist, knowing 2 abilities, powers and/or spells in the path of the Animationist. |
